dwMap Premium lets you choose how many fields you show on the Data Fields pages in the dwMap watch app and what those data fields are. You can also choose what fields are shown at the bottom of the Map and Navigation pages.
Each of the three Data Fields pages can have between 1 and 4 data fields, for a total of 12 in all. Popular fields include speed/pace, heart rate, altitude, distance and time (full list).
This feature and many others are available with a dynamicWatch Premium subscription for $9.99/year, or a one-time payment of just $29.99 for an Endless plan.

dynamicWatch Premium lets you export your routes as GPX files, for easy import into other services and applications.
Although dynamicWatch and its route Planner are primarily intended to let you rapidly create routes for using on your Garmin devices with our Connect IQ apps, we appreciate that the easy-of-use and mobile-friendliness of Planner make it a great tool for all your route creation needs.
GPX files are the standard format for transferring routes from one app or website to another, and you also can easily import GPX files from other sources to use with dynamicWatch.

dynamicWatch Premium lets you view the elevation profile and statistics for a route. This is available both when viewing a route, or when creating or editing a route in the Planner. You can drag across the graph to select portions of it, if, for example, you'd like to see the average grade on one particular climb.

dynamicWatch Premium offers more advanced routing methods for road biking, mountain biking (MTB) and hiking. These are provided by the amazing service, which has worldwide coverage of paths, cycleways and dirt roads, as well as roads and streets.
dynamicWatch Premium also adds Google pedestrian and cycling routing options.
This feature and many others are available with a dynamicWatch Premium subscription for $9.99/year, or a one-time payment of just $29.99 for an Endless plan.
dynamicWatch Premium lets you add up to 10 waypoints to your route. A waypoint is a named point or landmark that shows as a blue square on the Map page of the watch app. Since Premium also adds a Navigation page to the app, you can set a waypoint as your destination and be guided to it.
This feature and many others are available with a dynamicWatch Premium subscription for $9.99/year, or a one-time payment of just $29.99 for an Endless plan.
dynamicWatch Premium lets you keep an archive of your routes. You can keep your main list of favorites small and manageable, while acquiring a rich and deep set of interesting routes as you find or create them.
To add a route to your archive, click on the icon on your main list of favorite routes on your home page.
If you use Chrome as the web browser on your computer, this feature works particularly well with our Chrome Toolbar Button. This adds a button to your toolbar to save routes directly from popular sites like Strava, Garmin Connect and Ride with GPS.

dynamicWatch Premium lets you organize your routes into named collections. You might create a collection, for example, of gravel rides, or of routes in an area where you are planning on going on vacation. You can view all the routes in a collection on an interactive, 3D Map View.
You can also optionally share a collection with your friends or the general public by generating a special share URL for it. Anyone with the share URL can view your collection and the routes in it, but they cannot edit them. You can also upload a photo to use as a banner to create a beautiful shared collection.
You need a Premium account to create and edit a collection, but anyone you send the shared URL to does not have to be Premium, or to even have a dynamicWatch account yet.

dynamicWatch Premium lets you see your recent Garmin Connect activity history right here. This is the same list of recent activities that you can view on your Garmin Connect page, and matches the "History" stored on your Garmin watch or GPS. If you loved the route of a recent run or ride you can save it to your dynamicWatch account with just a single click!
This works great with the Route Archive feature, since you can save and archive the route for the future even if you're not planning on repeating it soon.
When you have new activities the count will be automatically shown on your dynamicWatch home page.
You can also automatically update the title and description of new activities in your Strava activity feed to show the route name of each one. No more looking at a list of Morning Rides wondering which was which! Learn more

On many watches (see below) dwMap Premium lets you view a background map (often called a basemap) on your watch screen as well as your chosen route line.
This feature and many others (nearly all of which are available on all app-capable watches) are available with your dwMap Premium subscription for $9.99/year, or a one-time payment of just $29.99 for an Endless plan.
Important Note: Even though we have optimized the color and designs of the background maps to make them as "compressible" as possible, the image files for the background maps are still relatively large, and we can only offer this feature on watches with 128kB or more of memory allocated to each app. These watches are:
Also the low data speed on the low-power Bluetooth connection between your watch and phone means that background map images may update more slowly than the other details on the dwMap map screen.

dwMap Premium lets you setup "high" and "low" workout alerts, to warn you, for example, if your speed falls below a target. These alerts are similar to those available when using the built in Run and Bike apps on your watch, letting you use dwMap and stay on course even when you need critical workout or race information.
Alerts are available for the following:

dynamicWatch Premium lets you organize your routes faster by letting you select one or more of them and make the same change to them. Depending on which page you are on, you can do the following "bulk edits" to routes:

dynamicWatch Premium calculates and shows the elevation gain for each of your routes. You can view and sort by this in your lists of routes.
dynamicWatch Premium also lets you view the elevation profile and more detailed statistics for each route. This is available both when viewing a route, or when creating or editing a route in the Planner. You can drag across the graph to select portions of it, if, for example, you'd like to see the average grade on one particular climb.

dynamicWatch Premium lets you set the activity type (running, cycling, hiking) for each of your routes. This helps you organize routes and it also lets the dwMap app on your Garmin watch automatically change its current activity type to match your current route.
When you create a route using our Planner you can choose what the type is, and it will default to the current routing mode being used (eg cycling). You also can use our Bulk Route Editing feature to rapidly set the activity type for a large number of your existing routes.
We will automatically set the right activity type for routes imported from sources where we can detect it, for example for routes from Ride with GPS or Strava.

The free version of the dwMap watch app shows your selected current active route on the Map page and lets you see at a glance where you are on it. dynamicWatch Premium adds notifications (beeps, vibrations and on-screen popups) to help you stay on your route.
If you are following a route, the watch will be on the lookout for future turns, and around 15 seconds before the turn it will buzz 2 times for a left turn and 3 times for a right turn. (Note, not all watches can make the 2- and 3-part buzzes.)
If you miss a turn or otherwise go off-route by more than around 130 ft (40 m), the watch will buzz to warn you, and the Navigation page will show the direction and distance back to the closest part of the route. The watch will buzz again when it sees that you are back on-route.
This feature and many others are available with a dynamicWatch Premium subscription for $9.99/year, or a one-time payment of just $29.99 for an Endless plan.
routeCourse lets you rapidly browse and wirelessly download routes right from the screen of your Garmin Edge, Fenix 5/6/7 and other GPS models.
With dynamicWatch Premium, routeCourse offers an exciting preview feature for Premium users that lets you view the maps, elevation profiles and detailed stats of your routes on your Garmin device without having to download them. On models that allow apps like routeCourse to access the built-in street maps, the route preview is shown on those maps, and on other devices we show the best possible match with the built-in map feature.

For 3 seconds out of every 15, it automatically shows the full elevation profile of the route.

dynamicWatch's Route Planner is a free tool that lets you create hiking, running and cycling routes for your Garmin GPS in a fast and simple way. Although the priority for Planner is to keep it simple, we have added a few advanced tools for dynamicWatch Premium users, such as heatmaps of your routes.
A heatmap lets you view view all the routes in any of your route collections (collections are one of the most useful features of Premium) as a transparent orange overlay on the map while you work in Planner. These then act as a guide for which roads and trails you like to use: you can rapidly click to build routes using these same roads/trails -- or perhaps for variety you'll use them to find roads that you've not yet used in a route.
